Calvary FC’s dynamic forward, Lawrence Olaboro, has been officially named the Most Valuable Player of the 2024–25 FUFA Big League for his stellar performances throughout the season.
Olaboro found the back of the net 12 times, making him Calvary’s top scorer in the campaign.
His goals powered Calvary to an undefeated home record at Midigo Primary School grounds and propelled the team to a dominant 52-point finish.
At the trophy presentation on Sunday, June 22, 2025, held at GreenLight Stadium in Arua, FUFA Executive Committee member Rogers Mulindwa presented the MVP award to a beaming Olaboro — a proud moment for both player and club.
Olaboro, reflecting his gratitude, shared:
“This means a lot to me and to the people of Yumbe. We worked hard as a team and stayed focused.”
His words resonated with fans and teammates, underlining his humility and team-first mentality.
Olaboro’s scoring consistency was integral to Calvary’s unbeaten home record—winning 12 of 15 matches on their home turf.
As league champions, Calvary earned promotion to the Uganda Premier League—an achievement spearheaded by Olaboro’s contributions.
